Pet Loss & Grief Support Group
We understand the grief journey is unique to each individual pet owner, so we have introduced West Australia’s very first Pet Loss & Grief Support Group to assist in making sense of your emotions.
Tracey Woods (Dip Couns, Cert IV Veterinary Nursing, RVN, AVN) has been a vet nurse for over 25 years & has experienced the loss of her own pets. Tracey provides support & guidance to make the sorrow of losing your beloved pet a little less painful.
Our next support group is scheduled for Sunday 27th September
To register or for further information about our support group, please contact our friendly team on 9248 6464 or you can download further details here
Please note: $20 will be requested in advance to ensure your space is secured & this will be donated to the ongoing research and conservation efforts of the endangered wild black cockatoo.
If you or members of your family are finding it very hard to come to terms with the loss of your beloved pet then it may be worth considering some professional counselling.
Tracey Woods – Pet Eden
Tracey facilitates our Pet Loss & Grief Support Groups however if you prefer individual counselling, Tracey is available to provide one on one support either in person or over the phone.
Dr Ann McCoy – Pets at Peace Home Vets
Dr Ann is a Veterinary Surgeon who helps to neutralise the grief of losing a beloved pet through a gentle, relaxing process which can be done in silence for those times when speaking is simply too painful. Typically at the end of her sessions, her clients remember their grief but it doesn’t have the same emotional intensity anymore. This allows her clients to cherish their memories of their loved ones with peace and love.
Dr Ann also assists with the loving and peaceful passing of pets at home so that their final memories are of being loved and in a peaceful place with family.
